Woman gives birth to 'frog-like' baby in Zimbabwe
A Zimbabwean woman reportedly gave birth to a frog-like baby which she had carried for 8 months.

According
to reports from a local Zimbabwean newspaper Herald, a 36-year-old
woman identified as Precious Nyathi, had been delivered of a tiny
frog-like creature when she went into labor after 8 months of pregnancy.
Precious
had gone to the Gokwe district hospital to have her baby but what she
saw shook her instead. Her husband Mr Nomore, said he had come home to
the news that his wife was in labor, but on getting to the hospital, he
saw the dead 'frog-like creature' she had given birth to.
The corpse of the frog-like baby was burnt in front of the villagers
39-year-old Nomore said:
''I
rushed home and was shocked to see a frog…that my wife had delivered.
At the hospital they confirmed she went into labour but were equally
shocked.''

Speaking on her misfortune, Precious later told reporters:
''I was expecting a child and this is what the heavens gave us. It's a hellish experience that will haunt me all my life.''
On
getting back home from the hospital, the couple went to seek advice
from the village elders who eventually ordered them to burn the
'frog-like creature'.
Confirming the birth, a spokesman from the hospital said:
''She
was our patient who would come for routine reviews together with other
pregnant women. We were shocked when she visited the hospital in the
company of her husband and some neighbours saying she had delivered a
frog.'''
Meanwhile there is no medical explanation for this unusual birth.
