sudden deaths of students
Police found the body of 23-year-old Lara Nosiru
in a 100 meter deep gorge. Police, firefighters and coastguards had been
searching for the body of the student for days before they made the
horrifying discovery recently.
They believe that Lara’s death was a
suicide, following a string of suicides of students since September.
Other Bristol students that took their own lives are Daniel Green, 18,
Kin Long, 18 and Miranda Williams, 19.

An
investigation into the mental wellbeing of the students has been
launched after the deaths of three students committed suicide after the
beginning of the first term.
A spokesperson for Bristol University stated: "The
welfare of our students and staff continues to be our highest priority
and it is distressing for all members of the university community that
one of our students has died.”
He added: "Following the three student
deaths reported in the autumn term, we have increased our student
counselling provision. We are also working closely with the Samaritans
and other experts to support the university community. We will continue
to work with our students to improve our support for their well-being
and mental health.”
