UNILAG reportedly enforces dress code
The management of the University of Lagos
has reportedly enforced a dress code for the students of the institution
in a bid to check indecent dressing on campus.

The
management of the University of Lagos has said it has observed that
some student of the institution dress indecently for lectures.
The
dress code which affects both male and female students of the
institution, prohibits the wearing of mini-skirts, spaghetti tops, low
waist jeans, tight strapless and revealing clothes among others.
The circular enforcing the dress code was pasted
in the school and stated clearly that lecturers and administrators were
empowered to correct/exclude students from lectures and official
business when they are not properly dressed.
See the circular enforcing the dress code below:

But in a response to the development, the
management of the University of Lagos on Thursday, February 9, distanced
itself from the alleged dress code issued to students.
Prof. Toyin Adebule, the deputy Registrar, Information, University of Lagos, made this known in a statement.
