Buhari’s health: 350 Imams pray for president's recovery
Not fewer than 350 imams have led prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari’s quick return to full health, New Telegraph reports.
The imams carried out the prayers in Juma’at mosques across Borno state in places like Maiduguri, Jere, Biu and others.

New Telegraph reports that the prayers
were said to have been held at the prompting of state governor Kashim
Shettima who reportedly sent request to the imams in appreciation of
President Buhari’s commitment to ridding the state of Boko Haram
insurgents.
Out of the state’s 542 Jumma’at mosques just but
about 350 are operating because of devastation of populated towns like
Bama and many others.
The governor’s request
was conveyed to the imams by the Chief Imam Laisu Ibrahim Ahmed, who
sent message to all Imams of Jumma’at mosques through their different
forums which is the procedure of communication between the Chief Imam
and Imams of Jumma’at mosques and other Imams in the state.
Chief Imam Ahmed reportedly mobilised fellow Imams
based on letters addressed to him and the state chairman of the
Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bishop William Naga, on the
orders of Shettima.
Meanwhile, for all citizens expecting President Muhammadu Buhari back in the country soon, Nigeria’s number one citizen has said he would only come back to Nigeria when his doctors certify him well enough to return.
The president revealed this much in the letter he sent to the National Assembly to extend his vacation.
