How to Root All Gionee Smartphones + Gionee M2

Rooting the new gionee m2 mini has
been a great problem. Have received
many mails earlier on how to root it
but all methods i tried failed.

This afternoon, hovatek ported TWRP
recovery to gionee m2 mini which
makes the rooting easier now. In this
post, you will learn how to root your
gionee m2 mini just follow my steps.


Items needed
needed for Rooting Gionee M2 Smartphone
make sure you have the below as they're required for rooting your phone.

1. PC window 7/8 both are supported
2. TWRP recovery for gionee m2 mini
download forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/twrp-gionee-m2-mini-p2m-t3236115
3. Download superSu update
4. Sp Flash tools

Setup Mtk drivers(vcomm drivers)


Once that is done, Extract TWRP.zip
you downloaded earlier you will see
custom recovery.img and mtk
scatter files inside extract both files
to a new folder.

Launch sp flash tool tick load scatter
files then browse through the new
folder you created earlier and
choose the scatter file you extracted
earlier.

Recovery should be ticked power
off your phone remove your
battery.

Now click on download then, plug in
your USB cord then insert your
battery the flashing will start
Once flashing is successful, copy
Update superSu.zip to the root of
your memory card.
Boot to recovery mode by holding
the power button +vol up you will
see install zip from sd card.

Navigate to the updatesupersu.zip
and click ok
Thats all reboot your phone you
should see supersu installed on
your phone you can also use root
checker from playstore to verify
root status

congrats, your phone should be rooted successfully now. You can now use imei cheats and other special freebies for rooted android users including apps like lucky patcher.
